Do you think that you are an excellent photographer? That you have clicked some awesome snaps with that expensive camera of yours? You have built a sizable collection of your pictures and now you want to monetize them. But, you are clueless how to do it?. Well, if that is the case, here is a good news for you. Bangalore-based Canvera Digital Technologies has launched an e-commerce platform called Vivyo for photographers to showcase and market their work.
Vivyo enables photographers to leverage the internet for marketing and selling their work, and to collaborate with their clients through an online hosted solution. Photographers can set up their own websites and create portfolios. But, they need not have technical knowledge as such, because Vivyo offers a self service website set-up. Photographers can also easily create microsites for their clients, where all the pictures and videos of an event or occasion can be beautifully showcased.
Nowadays, almost every website has social integration with either Facebook or Twitter or both and Vivyo is no exception. It has enabled social sharing with Facebook and Twitter which allows clients to ‘like’ images or comment on them, etc. In addition, Vivyo also allows guest contributions of pictures and videos directly to the sites. It has an integrated e-commerce solution so that photographers can sell prints and posters of their photographs. It is currently in a closed Beta mode and is being used by select photographers who are a part of the Beta program.
Canvera Digital technologies, a Digital Imaging Solutions provider, was co-founded in 2007. Canvera has raised $6.5 million in two rounds of funding from Footprint Ventures, DFJ and Mumbai Angels till date. In the year 2009, Cavera.com was chosen as Better Photography Photographer of 2009 Awards.
