NimBuzz Spreads Over 50 Million Users Worldwide In Less Than A Year

Nimbuzz (www.nimbuzz.com), a Dutch company known for free messaging and mobile social entertainment application have crossed over 50 million registered users worldwide.

In the year 2010, Nimbuzz added more than 28 million users with 100,000 new users everyday. In the past, Nimbuzz had also tied up with Spice mobile for a major distribution deal. It is now reported that users spend almost 3 hours communicating via mobile app and more than 4 hours via desktop application.

One of the important drivers for feature phones was the push notification system presented by Nimbuzz Ping. According to one of their sources of Nimbuzz, it has over 5000 handsets and their user base have doubled in less than a year time. Nimbuzz has also tied up with Virgin mobile which allowed Nimbuzz to add Java enabled apps to the prepaid handset.
